Wamhoff Mobility Lab

Wamhoff Mobility Lab is a prosthetics and orthotics central fabrication facility owned and operated by John Wamhoff, CPO. I started my career working as a technician for several years. I then earned my MPO at Northwestern University (Class of 2019). I completed separate orthotic and prosthetic residencies and passed my board exams (Cert #: CPO04912). I worked in clinical care for several years working at various clinics that gave me great experience on pediatric orthotics, adult orthotics, and all levels of prosthetic care. My passion has always been working with my hands, and fabrication has always been my biggest joy in prosthetics and orthotics, so I made the decision in 2024 to open a central fabrication facility.

As a CPO I bring an expert level of care, communication, and creation for every item that is fabricated. Prosthetics

Fabrication of any level of lower extremity prosthesis (i.e. partial foot, Symes, transtibial, knee disarticulation, transfemoral, and hip disarticulation​).

You can ship existing cast/molds or available by March 2026, digital workflow will be available as well​.

  • Laminated Sockets ​​​

    • Limitless socket designs available. Just ask, and we're likely able to do it.​

      • Pin-locks, suction systems, Revo systems, lanyards, vacuum, and anatomical suspensions available.​

      • Wamhoff Mobility Lab is one of the few labs that specializes in double wall transfemoral sockets!​

    • Countless materials available for your preference

      • Lamination material can include carbon, fiberglass, basalt, NSP, etc.​

      • Countless flexible interface materials and foams available as well

    • You can choose to have

      • Only the socket fabricated​

      • Componentry sent by you and attached by WML

      • Componentry ordered and attached by WML

  • Diagnostic/Check Sockets​

    • As a CPO, I am able to complete various modification methods to ensure the style of diagnostic socket that you want

    • Diagnostic sockets can be fabricated with plastic of your choice and can include:

      • A plain diagnostic socket​

      • A diagnostic socket with suspension mechanism (i.e. valves, locks, Revo, etc)

      • A diagnostic socket with an epoxied attachment block

  • Upper Extremity

    • Upper extremity prosthetics can be fabricated as well, please confirm prior to sending an order to ensure we can properly fabricate the device.​

Fabrication of any thermoplastic or composite lower extremity orthosis (i.e. SMOs, AFOs, KAFOs)
