Services

As a CPO, I have fabricated both prosthetics and orthotics. I greatly enjoy both and will continue to provide both. The bulk of my experience lies in the lower extremity for both prosthetics and orthotics. Below are listed the 4 primary fabrication services I provide along with all the types of prostheses and orthoses within those categories. If there is something not listed below that you would be interested in having me fabricate (i.e. upper extremity prosthetics/orthotics, spinal orthoses, anything random), contact me and I will see if it is something that I can fabricate for you.

Fabrication of any level of lower extremity laminated socket; including partial foot, Symes, transtibial/BK, knee disarticulation, transfemoral/AK, and hip disarticulation.

Various sockets designs can be fabricated including using pin-lock, lanyard, suction, elevated vacuum, and anatomical suspensions. Flexible interfaces can be included as well. If there is a socket style or design that you want, contact me and I'll make it happen.

Materials used for lamintation can include: Carbon fiber, fiberglass, basalt, nyglass, aralon, Spectracarb, or other material specifically requested. Often times practitioners will leave it up to my discretion to determine the layout based on patient information provided.

Any design can be put on the socket as requested.

Flexible interface materials can include: Pe-Lite, Bocklite, ProFlex, Northvane, OPTEK Flex Comfort, ORFIT Trans, or anything requested by the practitioner.

You can choose to have:

1) Just the socket fabricated and sent to you

2) You can send me all componentry you want to use with measurements and I can send to you fully assembled.

3) Request componentry, I will order and send to you assembled.

*Componentry used is picked by practitioner*

You can also choose/ask me modify any positive model/cast/diagnostic socket sent prior to fabrication.

Fabrication of any level of lower extremity diagnostic socket; including partial foot, Symes, transtibial/BK, knee disarticulation, transfemoral/AK, and hip disarticulation.

You can send models in one of three ways: a cast, an existing positive model, or an existing socket. You also have the option to modify the model yourself or have me modify for you under your specifications/requests. I can modify the model to meet whatever design/shape that you desire.

Sockets can be fabricated from a plastic of your choice. You can choose to have:

1) Just the plain plastic diagnostic socket made.

2) The diagnostic socket made with any lock, valve, flexible interface, etc. that you desire.

3) The diagnostic socket made with an attachment block sent in the alignment requested.

4) The diagnostic socket socket sent with assembled componentry (you can send componentry to me or I can send componentry to you).

One additional feature Wamhoff Mobility Lab can provide is a reinforced diagnostic socket. You can choose to have the socket wrapped in fiberglass for dynamic fittings. You can also opt to have a single layer carbon or basalt lamination for heavy duty patients that wear diagnostic sockets out of the office for days/weeks.

I am hoping in the near future to add a foam carver to the lab so that you will be able to utilize CAD/CAM to send models as well.

KAFOs can be made from plastic, carbon, or a combination of both. Practitioners will have choices of materials, joints, orientation of the thigh and leg portions, along with additions/modifications available to AFOs.

Transfers and designs can be added to any orthosis. If the transfer/design is available on SPS, Pel, or Cascade, it is available to me.
